we had such a great vacation! I recommend Venice for all, it was surreal! Rome was of course, extraordinaire, we did Roma Christiana in the mornings going from church to church and Roma Pagana in the evenings going from antipasti to primi piatti to secondi piatti to dolci (gelatti most of the times) to roll into the bed because we couldn't WALK ANYMORE!!!!
Can you see the Pope? He drove near us, then spoke from the top of the stairs.
The palazzo on the near left was in Brideshead Revisited.
